How to use the search form
The properties defined for nets can be used to select nets in the database. By default, none of the properties will be used, so just pressing Search will return all nets that exist for the current community.
To use a Boolean (yes/no) property in searching, select Yes or No for it in the search form. This will limit the results to all nets for which the property in question is true, or false, respectively. Nets for which the property value is unknown (undefined) will not be returned in either case.
To use a string property in searching, for instance, the name of the net, type a string into the textbox. The search will be limited to all nets for which the property value is the given string, or contains it as a substring.
To use an integer (whole number) property in searching,
for instance, the number of places, fill in a number
to limit the search to exactly that property value, or precede the number
with a comparison operator, one of
<,
<=,
>,
>=, or
=.
To use an enumeration (list of possibilities) property in searching, select the radio button so the property isn't ignored, and supply one of more possible values, to limit the results to nets of which the property in question has one or more of these values.
